Hello, I am Subhashis. Currently, I am based in Kolkata, India. For the most part, I find myself exploring different streets in Kolkata, especially North Kolkata. As an enthusiast, I have always been confused by the notion of genres in photography. Primarily, I would be considered a street photographer. However, I try to be open to different and exciting possibilities by not thinking of any genre-specific style. In a way, I am simply responding to my whims.
I have been creating pictures in this way for about 8 years now. Since my childhood, I have been drawn to how the world suddenly changed while looking through a rectangle. As a clumsy teenager, I suppose it provided me with some semblance of organization. With time, I just never stopped taking photographs. And I still do so primarily because of the joy it brings me.
